Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the fastest growing sport in the world today. More and more individuals are drawn to this exciting sport. Yet MMA Fighters & Professionals are largely under-represented in the business industry. We are often not taken seriously -- we’re alone.

We’re professionals, yet we’re still hoping for the day when we will have the same type of consolidated buying power now available to large corporations and industries. We’re alone in our efforts to get quality health insurance. We don’t qualify for discount rates on hotel rooms, car rental or travel, or business products. "Someday" we tell ourselves.

Well SOMEDAY is now! The National Association for MMA Fight Professionals -- or "NAFMMAF" -- was founded to provide comprehensive benefits and support to our members. Membership will be three-tiered: Basic, Premium and Deluxe. The Basic Membership is FREE. There is a nominal charge for the Premium and Deluxe Memberships, but the cost is worth it!

In fact, as an individual, WITHOUT group buying power, if you were to get each of these benefits on your own, you would pay over $14,000 per YEAR, or $1,170 per month -- just for access to these benefits. As a self-employed member of NAFMMAF, however, you’ll pay between $10 to $65 per month. That’s it. This is what group buying power is all about.

It used to be that most people worked for “companies.” Our fathers and grandfathers worked for Sears and Roebuck, the local gas station, maybe as a clerk at the local pharmacy, or even in a factory. They put in 30 years of time, 40 hours a week. Got to work, at 8 am, worked ‘til 5 pm, came home and had dinner by 6 pm, then hung out with their friends at the local lodge until it was time to go home, go to bed and start over the next day. Benefits were never a question. You worked for a company, you got benefits. The type, quality and amount of benefits depended usually on your position and length of time with the company. Most people got health insurance – not just for them, but for their whole family. This included medical, dental, vision, prescription medications and more. If they were in management, they often got discounts for travel, hotel, rental car, life insurance, critical illness benefits, amusement park discount coupons, and discount movie tickets, etc.

Additionally, large companies had an advantage over smaller companies – they needed a lot of supplies, so they bought what they needed in bulk. Usually, both now and then, when you buy in bulk, you get a discount, whether it be office supplies, Credit & Debit Card Processing discounts, Micro-Business Resources, business liability insurance, legal and Payroll Services.

Chances are, when you went to high school or college, your instructors prepared you for working in the world of business – and taught you how to work for others.
